Summary
The Homemaker will be responsible for providing direct services to clients as outlined on the “Request for Services” form. These services are defined in the Home Care Regulation of the State of Kentucky and the Title III and Homemaker definitions of the State of Kentucky.
Essential Duties
- Assist client with homemaking/personal care and follow instructions given on the service request or instructions given by the supervisor
- Assist the client in the care of their home and personal belongings
- Assist the client in the preparation of meals as per the service request form
- Run errands for the client as per the service request form
- Maintain complete and accurate records of services rendered which are compatible with the service request form
- Report any unusual and drastic changes in the client(s)’ general well-being to the immediate supervisor
- Attend periodic training sessions
- Individual assignments and responsibilities as directed by the Aging Coordinator, Aging Assistant Director and/or Aging Director
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Home Care Training
- Experience in direct care to the elderly preferred
- Must have own transportation
- Valid Driver’s License
- TB Skin Test
- Criminal Background Check
- Pre-Employment Drug Screen
